The Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ) is a functional commission of ECOSOC, established in 1992, that guides international efforts against transnational organized crime, corruption, and terrorism while working on crime prevention, criminal justice reform, and strengthening the rule of law. It also provides policy guidance to UNODC and prepares for the United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, held every five years.
